no. 27 – an end is a new beginning
Great new adventures awaited me, but I knew that Graham would be right: ‘Africa is now in your heart.’ Yes, I will definitely come back! But I wasn't even gone yet, just somewhere else [...]
no. 17 – the end of the wilderness | wilderness week IV
Twelve days of wilderness and camp life lay behind me and these were my last days here at Wilderness Camp. I felt I had seen every rock in this game reserve and it had become a kind of home. This area, the animals, the plants and the sunrises and sunsets were still special – but at the same time they had become ‘normal’ [...]
So now I was standing in front of the stairs with a good 15 macaque monkeys. Some of the monkeys had stopped frolicking in the meantime and were keeping an eye on me instead. Every movement was watched very closely. ‘Well, what must be done, must be done’ I said to myself with a sigh and [...]

I am K'rK
As an artist, my work deals with strength. Strength in its various forms and, in particular, the perception of strength.
That is why I explore and travel the world. I search for motifs that have strength within them – and use them to create powerful art.

Join me on this adventurous journey – let’s experience powerful stories together.
In Chapter 2, I turned my attention to conservation and protection. My goal was to move from theoretical knowledge to practical action and thus deepen my understanding of the strength of the African wilderness in a more immersive way. To this end, I accompanied field rangers, reserve managers and anti-poaching units (APUs) in the reserves and spent some time participating in their daily work […]
The wilderness. Raw, harsh, untamed, immediate and dangerous. For me, the wilderness is characterised by the unadorned struggle for survival, the daily confrontation between strength and weakness. I wanted to explore this wilderness, and I chose to do so as a ranger in South Africa. To build up a rudimentary understanding of the wilderness as a basis for my expedition, I attended a school for nature guides in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, for several months […]
Thailand is known for its beautiful palm-fringed beaches, warm blue water, humid tropical heat and the many sweet little islands. Europeans fly to Thailand when they want to escape the dreary cold of winter back home. However, Thailand is not the country that most people first associate with strength.
